GIANT – Live In Nashville, August 29, 2026

This one is truly special: GIANT live in 2026, captured only a few weeks ago during the band’s exclusive two-night run in Nashville.
GIANT made an impressive return last year with a strong new studio album, although longtime frontman and guitarist Dann Huff wasn’t involved in the sessions. At the time, Dann was focused on his own solo project, which turned out to be every bit as exciting in its own right.
But the story didn’t end there.
With fans continuing to ask for a proper GIANT reunion on stage, drummer David Huff and bassist Mike Brignardello approached Dann about getting the band together for a handful of live dates. Eventually, those plans became two very special concerts at 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 28 and 29, 2026.
No long tour. No huge arena production. Just two nights, an intimate venue and a full electric band playing these songs the way they were meant to be heard.
And here we have the complete Saturday night show from August 29, encore included.
What a performance.
Dann Huff remains an absolute monster on guitar. That unmistakable tone, the phrasing, the touch, the effortless sense of melody — it’s all still there. If anything, decades of experience have only made his playing more refined and expressive. Every solo sounds purposeful, every note lands exactly where it should.
This is also probably as close as we can realistically get to the classic GIANT lineup today. Dann Huff is back on guitar, Mike Brignardello handles bass and backing vocals, while David Huff drives the band from behind the drums.
They’re joined by an excellent group of musicians: Mark Oakley on guitar and backing vocals, Larry Hall on keyboards and backing vocals, and Bryan Cole taking over lead vocal duties.
Dann no longer seems interested in handling the lead vocals himself, which means Bryan Cole had one seriously difficult job ahead of him. These songs are deeply associated with Huff’s voice, and stepping into that role could easily have gone wrong.
Fortunately, Cole delivers.
He brings plenty of power, control and personality to the material without trying to imitate Dann note for note. Those are some very big shoes to fill, and he handles the challenge remarkably well.
The band pulls out eight songs from “Last of the Runaways,” five from “Time to Burn,” one track from “III,” one song from Dann Huff’s recent solo album, plus a fiery version of the rock ’n’ roll classic “Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor).”
For longtime GIANT fans, this is pretty much everything you could hope for: classic songs, outstanding musicianship, a relaxed club atmosphere and Dann Huff back onstage playing those legendary guitar parts again.
A rare performance, a fantastic recording, and one hell of a reminder of just how great this band still sounds.
