Häven – Where Angels Fear To Tread 2026
November 13th While Gabrielle de Val was writing and recording material for her upcoming solo album Revolution, it gradually became clear that several of the new songs were moving in a much heavier direction than the adult-oriented rock and melodic rock style associated with her previous work.
This was particularly evident in the tracks Gabrielle and Bruce Mee created together with Tommy Denander, which explored a much broader musical territory, ranging from symphonic rock and power metal to pure heavy metal.
The answer was to keep Gabrielle’s established musical identity for her solo releases while developing Häven as a genuine band project. The idea also addressed something that had long concerned the group: Gabrielle’s live backing musicians had received little recognition on her solo albums, despite their important contribution to the music and performances. With Häven, they would finally become an integral part of the project.
The lineup became even more impressive when Tommy Denander agreed to join the band, bringing together a highly experienced and versatile group of musicians: Gabrielle de Val on lead vocals, Tommy Denander and Gustavo Martín on guitars, José Luis Gallera on bass, Isabel Fernández on keyboards, and Robert van der Laar on drums.
