Herin – Hiding In Plain Sight 2024

Coming Soon

After an eight-year absence, TILES guitarist and songwriter CHRIS HERIN returns with his debut solo album “Hiding in Plain Sight.” A dark conceptual work about HERIN’S walk alongside his father’s 10-year struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, “Hiding in Plain Sight” combines distinctive Prog and Art Rock influences that alternate from sophisticated orchestral arrangements and poly rhythmic complexity to cinematic soundscapes and ambitious guitar workouts.

Once again, HERIN teamed up with renowned producer TERRY BROWN and Grammy award winning mastering engineer PETER MOORE to give “Hiding in Plain Sight” a detailed and powerful sonic landscape. Complementing the poignant lyrical themes is HUGH SYME’s whimsical and engaging imagery. Presented in a limited full-color digipack with an 8-page booklet, the artwork for “Hiding in Plain Sight” makes an introspective visual companion. Lending their exceptional talents to “Hiding in Plain Sight” is an impressive cast of nearly (30) supporting musicians including: PETER FRAMPTON, ALEX LIFESON (Rush), MARTIN BARRE, JOHN O’HARA, and DOANE PERRY (Jethro Tull), MICHAEL SADLER (Saga), KIM MITCHELL (Max Webster), CODY BOWLES and KEVIN COMEAU (Crown Lands), JEFF KOLLMAN and SHANE GAALAAS (Cosmosquad), TIM BOWNESS (No-Man), COLIN EDWIN (Porcupine Tree), RANDY McSTINE (Porcupine Tree), KEVIN CHOWN (Tarja Turunen, Chad Smith), MATTHEW PARMENTER (Discipline), and many other notable guests.
Destined to capture the attention of TILES faithful and Prog fans everywhere, “Hiding in Plain Sight” is an ambitious and diverse fusion of musical palettes with the guest artists propelling HERIN’S songs into new and expansive directions. Release date: November 1, 2024
