GROUP come in heavy on “Makkinagedoom”, a dark slab of doom-soaked heavy metal built on filthy riffs, grinding grooves and Fabiano Negri’s powerful vocals. It sounds like the spirit of Tracy G’s DIO years dragged through a modern scrapyard and wired back to life.

Tracy G has never been the kind of guitarist who needed speed to sound dangerous. His best work has always come from weight, tension and riffs that feel like they were carved out of concrete, and “Makkinagedoom” leans hard into that side of his playing.

“Human Reptile” sets the tone immediately with one of the album’s strongest grooves, while “P.I.G.” and “Stagnation” push deeper into darker, almost industrial terrain. There is a heavy BLACK SABBATH influence hanging over the record, especially the bleak atmosphere of “Dehumanizer”, but the DNA of Tracy’s own years with DIO is just as obvious.

“Grotesque” and “Useful Useless Thing” are slow-burning bruisers, built around riffs that crawl rather than sprint. “A Prettier Coffin Than Mine” is one of the album’s nastier highlights, all funeral-weight guitar and thick low-end pressure.

“Lycanthropy” keeps the menace high, while “Cult Mentality” and “The Idiot Thinker” bring more bite into the lyrical side of the record. The concept circles around technology, power, stupidity and the increasingly strange direction humanity seems determined to take.

“Sad Brad” brings the standard program to a close before “Inútil Útil”, the Portuguese-language version of “Useful Useless Thing”, acts as the bonus track and gives Fabiano Negri another chance to stamp his Brazilian identity onto the project.

What really makes “Makkinagedoom” work is the chemistry between the three musicians. Tracy handles guitars and drums, Randy Oviedo anchors the songs with bass that never disappears under the riffs, and Fabiano Negri gives the material a voice that can move from classic hard-rock grit into heavier, more dramatic territory without sounding forced.

This is not a record trying to recreate “Strange Highways”. It simply remembers why that kind of metal felt dangerous in the first place: ugly riffs, suffocating atmosphere and songs that sound like the lights just went out in the machine room.

Country: US / Brazil
Label: Independent
Genre: Heavy Metal / Doom Metal / Groove Metal
Release date: October 30, 2026
Format: CD / Digital

Tracklist:
01 – Makkinagedoom
02 – Human Reptile
03 – P.I.G.
04 – Stagnation
05 – Grotesque
06 – Useful Useless Thing
07 – A Prettier Coffin Than Mine
08 – Lycanthropy
09 – Cult Mentality
10 – The Idiot Thinker
11 – Sad Brad
12 – Inútil Útil [Bonus Track]

Tracy G – Guitars, Drums
Fabiano Negri – Vocals
Randy Oviedo – Bass

turbo

THE TRACY G.
