Jack Frost remained the constant through a rotating cast of strong vocalists including Bobby Lucas, Wade Black, James Rivera and Alan Tecchio, while the music moved between traditional heavy metal, US power metal and sharper melodic hard rock.

Disc One leans heavily into the band’s formative years. “Second War In Heaven”, “Camelot”, “The Answer” and “Atlantis” carry that classic American power-metal attack, all sharp guitars, big choruses and a slightly darker edge than the European school.

“The Burning” is one of the obvious highlights, with Jon Oliva bringing his unmistakable voice into the mix. It fits SEVEN WITCHES perfectly — theatrical without becoming bloated, melodic without losing weight.

“Passage To The Other Side”, “Mental Messiah” and “Metal Asylum” show how the band gradually thickened its sound, while “If You Were God” and “Dishonor Killings” bring more grit and a heavier emotional tone into the set.

Disc Two keeps moving through the catalogue with “Fields Of Fire”, “End Of Days” and “Claustrophobic (No Way Out)”, before “Nightmare Man” and “The Way Of The Wicked” push into darker territory.

The final stretch adds a few curveballs. “Alien Nation”, “Monsterman” and “Widowmaker” sit beside covers of DIO’s “Shame On The Night”, TWISTED SISTER’s “Shoot ’Em Down”, SCORPIONS’ “Rock You Like A Hurricane” and JUDAS PRIEST’s version of “Diamonds And Rust”.

What makes “Best Of The Witch” work is that it does not feel like a random label-generated playlist. Frost clearly treated it as a map of the band’s history, pulling material from different eras and lineups while keeping the flow focused on the songs that best represent what SEVEN WITCHES were always about: riffs first, melody close behind, and no shame in flying the heavy-metal flag high.

Country: US
Label: Deko Entertainment
Genre: Heavy Metal / Power Metal / Melodic Metal
Release date: October 30, 2026
Format: 2CD
Tracks: 27

Disc 1

01 – Second War In Heaven
02 – Camelot
03 – The Answer
04 – Atlantis
05 – Metal Tyrant
06 – The Burning (feat.
