There is weight here, but also warmth — music with scars showing through the polish.

Richards has spent years moving through the hard rock world, from early GODSMACK history to writing and playing with DROPBOX and ANOTHER ANIMAL. On “Songs For A Broken World”, he finally pulls those different threads together under his own name, writing, performing and producing the material with a clear sense of identity.

“Shyra” opens with a strong melodic pull before “Yesterday’s Child” pushes deeper into darker hard rock territory. “Believe” and “Cry For You” keep the emotional side close to the surface, balancing muscular guitars with choruses that are more reflective than flashy.

“Faithless” carries one of the album’s grittier moods, while “She” brings more space and atmosphere into the arrangement. “Say Your Last Goodbye” hits harder, and “Rise” does exactly what its title suggests, lifting the energy with a stronger sense of defiance.

“Fallen (Save Me)” and “Monsters” bring the album toward its heaviest stretch, where the riffs get darker and the melodies feel more bruised. The CD then closes with “Summer Breeze”, giving the record a softer final turn after all the weight that comes before it.

The supporting cast gives the album plenty of muscle. Justin Pacy handles drums, Billy Loosigian adds rhythm and lead guitar, and Sean Corcoran brings bass and backing vocals. Together they give Richards’ songs enough room to breathe without sanding away the rougher edges.

“Songs For A Broken World” does not sound like a musician trying to relive an old band. It sounds like somebody finally putting decades of hard rock mileage into one record — loud where it needs to be, melodic when it matters and grounded in songs rather than image.

Country: US
Label: Metalville
Genre: Hard Rock
Release date: October 30, 2026
Format: CD / Vinyl / Digital
Total time: 45:30

Tracklist:
01 – Shyra (3:52)
02 – Yesterday’s Child (4:27)
03 – Believe (4:08)
04 – Cry For You (3:34)
05 – Faithless (4:25)
06 – She (4:50)
07 – Say Your Last Goodbye (3:47)
08 – Rise (3:22)
09 – Fallen (Save Me) (4:46)
10 – Monsters (4:28)
11 – Summer Breeze (3:51)

Lee Richards – Rhythm & Lead Guitars, Vocals
Justin Pacy – Drums
William “Billy” Loosigian – Rhythm & Lead Guitars
Sean Corcoran – Bass, Backing Vocals

Written and produced by Lee Richards

MP3 FLAC

Former GODSMACK guitarist Lee Richards steps back into the spotlight with “Songs For A Broken World”, a hard rock debut full of thick riffs, weathered melodies and the kind of songwriting that sounds lived-in rather than manufactured.
