The German band go straight for the throat with symphonic power metal built on huge melodies, dark atmosphere and a dual-vocal attack that gives the songs both muscle and drama.

The album feels broader than a simple power-metal workout. There is plenty of speed and uplift, but also darker melodic metal shades, gothic atmosphere and heavier passages that give the record more weight than the polished surface first suggests.

“Still Here” and “Too Weak” establish the tone early, balancing sharp riffing with strong melodic hooks, before “Chasing Dreams” brings Fabio Lione into the picture. His voice fits naturally into the DAWN OF DESTINY world, adding another layer of grandeur without turning the song into a guest-star showcase.

The title track keeps the emotional temperature high, while “Above The Noise” brings in Ralf Scheepers for one of the album’s more forceful moments. His unmistakable steel-edged delivery cuts straight through the arrangement and gives the song exactly the extra punch it needs.

Elsewhere, “I’ll Find You In Time” and “When The World Ends Quietly” lean harder into the band’s more dramatic side, where keyboards, layered vocals and slower-building tension matter just as much as the guitars. “Those Moments” and “One Small Lie” keep the melodic core intact before the bonus material pushes the CD edition beyond the standard program.

What holds “Ashes Over Tomorrow” together is the vocal interplay between Jeanette Scherff and Jens Faber. Instead of one voice carrying everything, the record benefits from contrast — light against shadow, clarity against grit — and that gives the songs a more theatrical pull without tipping into full metal-opera territory.

Ten albums in, DAWN OF DESTINY sound less interested in proving themselves than in refining what they already do well. “Ashes Over Tomorrow” is melodic enough to stick, heavy enough to bite and dramatic enough to feel bigger than the room it is playing in.

Country: Germany
Label: El Puerto Records
Genre: Symphonic Power Metal / Melodic Metal
Release date: October 30, 2026
Format: CD / Digital
Total time: 66:39

Tracklist:
01 – Still Here
02 – Too Weak
03 – Chasing Dreams (feat.
