Having been inspired to make music by seeing the Beatles take the stage on the Ed Sullivan Show, “Bad Boy” Troy Tipton began a lifelong music career at age six. He cites as his main musical influence, father Sonny Tipton, mentioning others as an afterthought. These secondary inspirations include Jimmie Page, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Farner, Paul Rogers, and Jeff Beck.

1980 – played guitar for former HEADEAST singer JOHN SCHLITT and toured playing large arenas and outside shows opening for BLACK SABBATH, CHEAP TRICK, SAMMY HAGAR, WHITE SNAKE, PABLO CRUISE, ATLANTA RYTHYM SECTION, NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND, OZARK MOUNTAIN DAREDEVILS, MICHAEL STANLEY BAND, ALVIN LEE AND TEN YEARS LATER, AIR SUPPLY and many more.

1986 – played guitar for Capitol Recording Artists SLY FOX and toured playing large arenas and outside shows opening for KOOL & THE GANG, LISA-LISA, THE JETS, ROGER & ZAPP, READY FOR THE WORLD, STARPOINTE and many more.

2010 – played guitar for TOMMY HEATH of TOMMY TUTONE and toured playing Casinos and Concert Venues opening for LOVERBOY and A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS.

A solo project with my CD “Standing In The Shadows” doing well worldwide. one of the songs from the CD “I Like It Like That” appeared in a teen thriller NOVA ROAD which was filmed in Florida. new single BAD ASS BOY released to radio worldwide March 1st, 2020…written and recorded by Dave Evans original AC/DC singer and Bad Boy Troy Tipton.
